We went from Melk to Durnstein, about an hour and a half cruise along the Danube with magnificent scenery. We alighted at Durnstein and wandered up into the old town, saw some lovely buildings including the old ruins above the town which once held Richard the Lion Heart prisoner. Then we caught the train to Krems, changed trains to Vienna and arrived back at Bindi and Simon's just in time for tea after a wonderful day.
