Zonta- Birthing Kit Packing

For a number of years now our church helps out Zonta Breakfast Club- a women's organisation pack birthing kits for women in developing countries. It is such a worthwhile cause and you walk into the room and see people from the community and our church working away packing these kits it just feels so good. Last year they packed 3000 kits and this year the target was 4000 kits and we achieved that. The Zonta ladies are so organised and it is such a pleasure to work with them.

Avoca Beach Get Away

Bill and I had a long weekend getaway up at Avoca Beach staying with his cousin Jos and her husband Steve who have retired up there from Sydney. We drove up Friday after work, left Canberra around 4pm which got us up to Avoca Beach around 5pm. We had Saturday and Sunday up there and drove home Monday morning. It was a lovely relaxing stay, nice to get up to some warmer weather and enjoy a few walks on the beach. They have a lovely spot up there.

I enjoyed some lovely walks on the beach each morning. It was a bit chilly around 4 degrees in the morning though, too cold to walk barefoot on the sand!

Breakfast on the balcony- we would give them good reviews if they were on Trip Advisor!

We explored a few gardens in the local area, the garden above was part of a gin distillery. They had a nice little cafe that sold some lovely ice cream.

We also went into Gosford and visited some Japanese Gardens which were just lovely.
