Singapore Style


We have enjoyed our stopover in Singapore we could easily come back again and spend some more time here.

We had to try some Singapore Carrot Cake- a savoury dish. It is made with white radish which is like a white carrot. If you have white carrot cake it is an omelette style and if you have black carrot cake it is chopped and fried with kecap manis- it was rather tasty. We decided not to try the frog porridge though.





When Bill and I were in Singapore in 2012 we stayed in the same hotel. There was a little ice cream van down on the bridge selling ice cream wafers for $1 which Bill thought was a bargain, so we had to go see if you could still get them. You could but they had gone up to $1.50 so we just shared one!







Amy wanted to try a Singapore Sling.We read that the Long Bar at Raffles uses a pre mix so we ended up at the bar at our hotel where she was able to sit at the bar and watch the bartender mix it for her. Amy was most impressed with her cocktail.
