Gobbins Walk and Carrickfergus Castle

Today we meet Simon, Bindi and Charlie at Islandmagee and did the Gobbins Coastal Walk. The weather was great for the walk, nice and clear and not too cold. The tide was low so all was set for a good walk. The walk is carved out along the cliff edge.
We had to wear hard hats to protect ourselves from bumping our heads on some of the rocky outcrops. It was the same walk Bill and I did 6 months ago. We were hoping to see puffins this time but no luck. They get about 65 breeding pairs, some have been spotted but the main nesting season is more the end of May and June so we missed out!

Here are Amy and Bindi at the beginning of the walk.

After we called in at Carrickfergus and checked out the castle that was built over 800 years ago.
