Making our Way to Picton

We flew from Wellington to Picton in a little 12 seater plane, where the pilot turned around in the front seat to give us the safety instructions! He said it was a little breezy- to us it was blowing a gale, but the trip over was pretty smooth and we got terrific views of the North Island and almost immediately the South Island. We landed at got our baggage from the hold! Picton is a delightful town at the top of the Queen Charlotte Sound. The weather was so much better than Wellington and we had a delightful view of the harbour from our motel room.
