Kangaroo Island Part 2

We drove down to Cape Jervis and caught the ferry across to Penneshaw. You drive the car on and it is about a 45 minute trip across. We were lucky we had a smooth trip across. We called into the visitor's centre and a lovely lady there who helped us organise our plan for 4 nights.

Al-Pac-Em-Inn our home for 4 nights about 6km out of Kingscote on a farm with some horses, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, donkeys, ponies and an elusive pair of alpacas. Amy was in her element feeding the animals each morning.

We visited the Emu Ridge Distillery, Cliffords Honey Farm, places we had visted 18 years ago

We drove to Stokes Bay and on the way found this rather eclectic place in the middle of nowhere

At Stokes Bay on the north coast we walked through a pathway through a series of rocks and came through to a lovely beach.

On the way back we stopped briefly at a bus stop and Amy thought she saw someone waiting at the bus stop and Amy suggested we offer them a ride- as we drove up to do so we discovered who the waiting passenger was.

The next day we headed back to Penneshaw. First stop was the Dudley Winery which had stunning views across the Investigator Strait. Would have been nice to have a meal here but we were booked elsewhere- just have to return!

Next stop was the Cape Willoughby Lighthouse where we took a tour- stunning views.

Lunch was at the False Cape Winery where we were accompanied by dogs and chooks, who even tried to share our lunch- just can't escape birds can I!

The next day we headed to Seal Bay were we we did a tour that took us down on the beach with the seal lions, the little ones were so fun to watch as they played and were very curious.

Next stop was the Raptor Centre for a bird show, Amy was on her element, she got to hold lots of birds.
