The Week that Was and Sick of Being Sick

I was fighting off a cold last week but finally succumbed to it on Monday and have been off work and feeling lousy this week. I am recovering but not back to 100 % by far, and just when you feel you are on the mend, you do something and then it wears you out and you feel you have slipped back a bit! You think you are never going to recover and get back to normal and things that normally don't bother you get on top of you! It does make me appreciate the good health I normally have though, which I suspect is 99 % of the time! So I will just have to stop whingeing and get on with life!

We had a family bonding experience this week- a nice family activity- we all went down to the doctors as a family and had a flu injection each! Amy and I survived it with out fainting! We should have asked for buy one get one free deal!

Amy got called up for jury duty so had to go in on Wednesday, much to her disappointment she did not get selected for a jury, but enjoyed the process. She does have to go back in again on Monday so is hoping that this time she might get selected!

Lachlan went to a Brumbies football game on Friday night in a corporate box with his work. I am afraid in most Australian's eyes we are probably failures as parents- it was the first football game he has been to, and even though he had a good time he decided it is not really his thing and something he wouldn't pay to do on a regular basis! He did play cricket as a young boy and we did have him watch the Tour De France highlights when he was younger so we have not completley neglected sport in his education!
