Stage One- Singapore

Waterfall at Jugon Bird Park
I am sure the birds were attracted to Amy by her pink hair

Pretty pink flamingos

Amy's Peachy Toast Breakfast

Our adventure has begun- none of my nightmares of fog bound planes, missed connections, came to fruition, so here we are in Singapore. It is hot and humid, but lush and green and some beautiful scenery. our hotel in Singapore is great, nice and central, and has a king size bed that I struggle to get Amy out of in the morning.

Food is cheap and we have had some lovely meals - including Amy's Peachy Toast stuffed with marscapone cheese and lemon rind, my french toast with bircher muesli was pretty yummy! A trip out to a bird park where we saw some flamingos, macaws and lorikeets. We ate lunch for $6.80 for the two of us - just guessed from the pictures, and it was pretty good - or at least I thought so. Mastered the MRT - Singapore Train System, caught buses and all. Got caught in a down pour in little India - we discovered that umbrellas don't work when they are back in your hotel room!

  1. Lucky you didn't leave two days later. Canberra was foggy all day and no planes had left the airport by 7:30 am.
