Church History Tour Time

On the Friday we had to drive to Rochester in upstate New York. It was a journey of around 550km,  had a drive of about 7 hours. It was persistent rain the first half of the trip, and then mainly dry for the remainder of the trip. We crossed the Susquehanna River a number of times it was a very wide river and looks like there had been lots of rain so very full. We travelled through farm land, then up through the hills and woods so a change of scenery from the Amish countryside. We arrived at our hotel around 3pm, had to drop our hire car off which was at an office in a car park in a mall- bit of a challenge to find. We then caught an Uber back to our hotel- Bindi was sure we were going to be picked up by an axe murderer- but fortunately he wasn't on duty so we made it safely back in time for our Meet and Greet at 7pm with our tour group and tour guide Hank Smith. - the tour kicks off tomorrow.

Quality of the photos not that good as they were taken out of the car window, wet and cool today so minimal stopping along the way.

Up through the hills and woods

Arriving in Rochester there were plenty of blossoms

A quick snap of the Erie Canal, it was a major route for transport- rather exciting for a geography nerd!
