Hooge Crater Museum

Next stop was the Hooge Crater Museum and an outdoor museum just up the road. This whole area was the scene of many battles over four years and the whole area and towns were just destroyed and the land level led and they had to be rebuilt. It is hard to imagine what it looked like when today it is so peaceful . There were lots of old bits of stuff that get dug up all the time, old bunkers, pill boxes and trenches.
