We had a private guide for two days, Barbara from Blue Digger Tours, she was fabulous and had encyclopedic knowledge of the Australians involvement in WW1 and she was very passionate about history. Bill had her taking is all over the Somme area tracking down places his grandfather had been. First stop was the museum above the Villers-Brettoneux primary school. The school was rebuilt with funds from schools in Australia, so as you can imagine they are very grateful to the Australians.
