Glory Hole and the Lochnager Crater

We went down to La Boisselle which is just 5 km down the road and saw the Lochnagar Crater which is a huge crater 100 metres in diameter and 30 meters deep and was a massive explosion by British Tunnellers. Just down the road is the Glory Hole which is an archeological dig site of the British and German trenches and tunnels. There was a real complex of underground tunnels and trenches recently discovered that they have been excavating. It some places the German and British trenches were as
Close as 30 meters. It was an open day so we were able to go in and have a look around.
