Mamouney and Frost Family Dinner
After getting back from Melbourne on the Saturday, we headed over on Sunday night and caught up with the rest of my family in Canberra and ate more yummy food! Hungarian Goulash Soup and a delicious passionfruit tart and a chocolate cake!
We took Jack with us and he had a great time, a lot more relaxed this time. Mia and Charlie were training him to sit and feeding him rice bubbles as his treat- not sure who enjoyed themselves more!
Fiddler's Green
One of the reasons for the trip was to check out a retirement village mum is looking at, we had a good look around and the manager showed us through some of the different units. Mum is keen to move in, just needs to wait for someone to vacate the premises!
A Suprise Find
I gave some of my old books to a friend at church a while back, a month later she handed me an envelope she found in one of my old books and it contained $100 in $20 notes! As you can see they must have been there for a while as these $20 have been gone for a while!
Food and Family
Had a short trip down to Melbourne to spend a bit of time with my mum, had a lovely time, it seems that all I did was eat though! I had lunch with my mum and three of my sister in laws- and we we had some lovely chocolate mint ripple cake and a strawberry, white chocolate roulade for desert between us. I am glad this cake shop is in Melbourne because it was all too yummy! On the Friday had a delicious dinner at Mike and Leeanne's new place and on Saturday had lunch with my brother Gary at Point Cook!

A Day in the Life of a Dog Groomer
Amy had a quiet afternoon so I took Jack in to visit her! He got a wash, a blow dry and then a trim. He wasn't too impressed with the whole procedure but by the end he looked great! It was great to see Amy in action, and for someone that has only been doing it for 5 weeks she certainly has picked it up quickly and does a great job on the dogs!
I then took Jack home, and when Amy came home Jack ran the other way!

Mother's Day Lunch
With teenagers breakfast in bed does not happen anymore for Mother's Day, it doesn't help that I wake up early either, so after church today Amy made me French Toast for lunch with a raspberry puree, maple syrup and banana, it was very nice. She then helped me get the roast chicken dinner ready, it was nice having her company in the kitchen! It made my Mother's Day very enjoyable- I also have some chocolates for after dinner as well!
Lovely Autumn Canberra Day
Caught up with friends this week at the National Portrait Gallery, it was a beautiful afternoon and we walked across to the National Library for afternoon tea, it was lovely sitting outside in the warm afternoon sun! The temperature drops once the sun goes down but we have has some lovely autumn days. I always love the view at the lake up to the War Memorial and down to Old Parliament House.
