Day 3 Beloka, Dalgety and Berridale
After a morning walk along Lake Jindabyne and a visit to our favourite cafe we headed out for a drive. We headed to Beloka where we discovered this gorgeous little stone church, which we were able to go inside.
Next stop was Dalgety and the Snowy River. It was a lovely little town, we went for a wander and discovered a caravan cafe, where we enjoyed a chat with the young lady who had opened it only 6 weeks ago.
We then headed to Berridale where we checked out Shut the Gate Cellar and Providore and a few of the other shops before heading back to WildBrumby for a late lunch as we had enjoyed our visit there the day before. Then it was back to Jindabyne for a relaxing afternoon reading, enjoying dinner by the lake.
Tuesday morning we packed up and headed home catching up with a friend for lunch in Cooma before arriving in Canberra as a massive thunderstorm was just about over. It was a lovely break.

Day 2 With The Tuesday Girls- Mt Kosciuszko Walk
The weather was perfect for the walk to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko. We were up at Thredbo before 9am ready to catch the chairlift up to the start of the walk. It is a 6km walk from the top of the chairlift or you can do a 2km climb up from the village up to the start-we took the chair lift option. It was around 13 degrees celcius with the top of around 19 expected- 30 degrees in Jindabyne so we were happy with the forecast. The three of us headed up, Kerrie was having issues with her feet, so was just going to do the first couple of kms then turn around, so Deb and I set up for the top. It was a stunning day and the views spectacular.
We made it to the top in good time and enjoyed our little picnic lunch at the top before heading back down and finding Kerrie.
We took a few extra rides on the chairlifts because we could and it was fun! Then headed back to Jindabyne stoppping off at the Wildbrumby for a well deserved afternoon tea!
Jindabyne with the Tuesday Girls Day 1
Most Tuesdays Kerrie, Deb and I go for a walk together, we used to work at Southside Physio together. We have started going on little adventures and our latest was three nights up at Jindabyne and the plan was to do the walk to Mt Kosciuszko on one of those days. We headed off on Saturday morning stopping of at Cooma where we found a nice cafe to visit then headed over to a gallery across the road of a local photographer Charles Davis. It was such a lovely place and his photos were stunning. This one of the kookaburras was one of my favourites.
We arrived at Jindabyne and found our accomadation right on the lake- it was a lovely spot. We ate our dinner out here each night and enjoyed the changing light over the 3 nights we were there.
That afternoon we decided to drive up to Charlotte's Pass to check out the area. We did a lovely walk among the snow gums, they were stunning. It was a delightful walk and such a beautiful place.
