A Day in the Life of a Dog Groomer

Amy had a quiet afternoon so I took Jack in to visit her! He got a wash, a blow dry and then a trim. He wasn't too impressed with the whole procedure but by the end he looked great! It was great to see Amy in action, and for someone that has only been doing it for 5 weeks she certainly has picked it up quickly and does a great job on the dogs!

I then took Jack home, and when Amy came home Jack ran the other way!

Mother's Day Lunch

With teenagers breakfast in bed does not happen anymore for Mother's Day, it doesn't help that I wake up early either, so after church today Amy made me French Toast for lunch with a raspberry puree, maple syrup and banana, it was very nice. She then helped me get the roast chicken dinner ready, it was nice having her company in the kitchen! It made my Mother's Day very enjoyable- I also have some chocolates for after dinner as well!

Lovely Autumn Canberra Day

Caught up with friends this week at the National Portrait Gallery, it was a beautiful afternoon and we walked across to the National Library for afternoon tea, it was lovely sitting outside in the warm afternoon sun! The temperature drops once the sun goes down but we have has some lovely autumn days. I always love the view at the lake up to the War Memorial and down to Old Parliament House.

Clancy's Day out with Amy

It was Clancy's turn to go to work with Amy this week, he came home looking very fancy and smelling lovely but no bow in his hair- Amy tried but it just would not stay! I was very impressed with the cut she gave Clancy- it is the traditional Kerry Blue cut, short on the body but longer on the legs. She was supposed to keep the hair long on the face but decided to trim that as otherwise he would not be able to see. He looks great!

A Dog's Life

The dogs manage to put themselves to bed right next to me each night, occassionally I step on them but not too often! We brought the little brown basket for Jack but Clancy likes to hop on it and Benji uses it as a pillow- tough life at our house!

When we take the dogs for a walk in the morning Jack always seems to run through the wet grass and comes home quite wet, and then is cold. They had some cheap little dog coats at the Hot Dollar Shop so I got him a couple. The first two were too small so had to get the next size up but then they had pretty much sold out in the style I wanted so he had to get a maroon one and a pink one- I guess it will help him get in touch with his feminie side!

Look What Happens When You Take Your Dog to Work

Benji got to go on an adventure on Friday- he got to go to work with Amy. He was not too impressed with having to have a bath, but he enjoyed the company of the other dogs there and came home smelling lovely with his strawberry colonge and also with the pretty pink ribbon in his hair. I chuckle every time I see him come running! He and Amy both had a great time by the sounds of it!
