We certainly enjoyed our stay in Tumbarumba, our final day was clearer and drier skies so a good day for travelling home. We had our morning walk with a bit of fog hanging over us and enjoyed breakfast at our favourite Tumbarumba café- The Nest before heading home along the Elliot Way and through Kosciusko National Park.
Our last morning walk along Tumbarumba Creek, it was foggy this morning but the sun was trying to come out.
Breakfast at the Nest Café
We headed home along the Elliot Way and then the Snowy Mountains Highway to Cooma. Not far out of Tumbarumba was the Henry Angel Track Head where you could walk along part of the Hume and Hovel track which goes from Yass to Albury. We took just a little stroll, didn't have time to do the whole thing!
Then a bit further on was the Paddy's River Falls which were certainly worth a visit.
Then as we were going right past them we called in at Braymont Gardens so we could see them without the rain.
We had to stop to allow a duck crossing to occur!
Then we had to begin the trip home up through the Kosciusko National Park, lots of windy roads and up and downs, really rugged and spectacular country.
Here is the Tumut River
\Getting closer to the top of the ranges, lots of dead trees, looked very stark.
We even got to see some wild brumbies
We finally got back to relative civilisation at Adaminaby where we had lunch near the Big Trout, before heading through Cooma back to Canberra. We had a great Tuesday Girls Adventure yet again.
