The Melbourne Mamouney's have and annual catch up on the Melbourne Cup holiday, so finally managed to get myself organised to go down to Melbourne for that. I flew down on the Saturday then took mum away for 2 nights down to Cape Paterson, just over an hour from Berwick. We had a lovely 2 nights away then drove up to Kim and Fil's on the Tuesday for the Melbourne Cup BBQ. It was great to catch up with family members all in the one place. I flew back to Canberra on the Wednesday.
We enjoyed a light lunch at the Old Dalyston Church Cafe- great service and lovely food.
We stopped off at Kilcunda Beach, found the Old Trestle Bridge which is now a bike trail
Victoria certainly has lovely beaches.
Mum enjoyed listening to the waves and just seeing the ocean
Another day we drove up to Loch, it was a lovely drive through rolling green hills, lots of dairy cows.
Loch was delightful town, some lovely shops and cafes
We found an easy access beach just out of Inverloch and mum enjoyed a walk on the beach and even found some shells to collect. |
