Port Vila

Next we wandered into the city centre, Pt Vila is not the most attractive of cities but it certainly has a real local flavor that we really enjoyed. There are 100's of vans that operate as buses and you just flag them down and they take you where you want to go via where all the other passengers want to go. We stopped off at a little French cafe for some pastries, then visited the Ladies Handcraft Market where the local mamma's are sitting behind there sewing machines sewing and selling tablecloths ,sarongs, jewellery and baskets it was great fun just wandering along and looking at everything. Then we went to the local fruit and vegetable market and brought bananas, passion fruit, pineapple for very cheap prices. They had all sorts of vegetables and fruits it was just fascinating. Also got some fresh peanuts. Had lots of fun!
