Tuesday Girls Head to the South Coast

 The Tuesday Girls had a 4 day getaway down to Broulee, the weather was perfect, we were in short sleeves every day.

Bateman's Bay- Fish and Chips for lunch

Checked into our Airbnb for the 4 nights,

 it was very comfortable and a 5 minute walk down to the beach

Broulee Beach was such a lovely beach to walk along.

 Deb and I walked around Broulee Island one morning

We checked out the Mangrove Board Walk along Cullendulla Creek, 

just over the other side of the bridge at Batemans Bay

 Very quiet and peaceful and fascinating to watch all the crabs on the mudflats

Then headed into Batemans Bay for another board walk through some water gardens

The girls needed a swim to cool off after all their walking. 

Needs to be boiling hot for me to go in for a swim so I took the photos

The Single Fin became the first stop on our morning walk to fuel up 

We were pretty impressed with the elaborately served banana bread!

Deb and I walked around Broulee Island one morning

 

Was rather rocky but well worth the walk

Day 3 saw us heading out to Bodalla, stopping off along the way at the Bangalay Sand Forest,

 not far from where we were staying. Surprisingly tall trees growing in very sandy soil.

Then Shark Bay- lovely sheltered beach

We drove along the Moruya River and stopped off at Quarry Park, across the road from the old Moruya Granite Quarry from which granite for the Sydney Harbour Bridge was extracted. Lovely little park and lots of history.

Finally made it to Bodalla, where we checked out the lovely old church on top of the hill

And then the Bodalla Dairy. Lunch today was a cheese tasting and ice-cream!

Home via South Moruya Heads 

The next morning we headed out to the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens for a wander

Quick trip to Batemans Bay to get Kerrie's glasses fixed and then a stop of in Mogo

 Finished of our day with dinner a the Broulee Brewhouse
