More Catch Up

Few more photos from April and May

Little Hugo looking very cute as usual. He is such a lovely little dog and he and Lucy are great company for one another.

Here is Charlie enjoying some of Amy's cinnamon rolls. Bindi and Mia were away for two weeks in the USA, so Amy and I did a welfare check on Charlie. He seemed to be enjoying his time home alone.

During the April School Holidays Amy and I took our friend Debbie and her kids out to Glenview Alpaca Farm. We did a farm tour and had a great time, the kids really enjoyed themselves and were very well behaved.

In April I also headed down for a couple of nights to Tuross Heads to visit my friends Jim and Louise who were staying down there for a week. I enjoyed catching up with them and enjoyed some lovely walks each morning.

Woops- Forgot About My Blog!

The months have flown by and I have neglected my journal so time for a bit of a catch up!

In May I headed down to Melbourne for a few days to catch up with my mum, we took a trip to the west side of the city and discovered a few places we had never been. Mum wanted to check out the Maribyrnong River, so we did. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the river and it was a lovely spot. The river has lots of bike and walking trails, playgrounds and cafes near where we were staying. Mum managed to do the 4km circuit using her walker.

There were some huge houses along the river, including this place which had a mother and baby giraffe in their yard.

The obligatory selfie at the top of the pedestrian bridge

The river a bit further upstream

The next day we discovered Moonee Ponds and Brunetti's café, where we were dazzled by the array of cakes of which we needed to sample a few.

Later that afternoon we headed down to Melton where we went to my brother Gary's warehouse. Mum had been wanting to see it for a while, we were not there for long before she had gone into sales mode and was talking customers into buying things.

They even have a warehouse cat that they have adopted and was very friendly

Meanwhile back home Bill has put in this perch that the birds love, they can see right into the kitchen window. Any time you are there they have to come over and see what is happening.

On Mother's Day Bill and I went into the National Film and Sound Archive and checked out the Temple Exhibition that had some amazing videos of parrots.

The Tuesday Girls came over one Tuesday and I showed them how to make Rocky Road. They thought I was very clever but it is actually super easy.
