Dark Hedges to Derry to Sligo

Next stop was Dark Hedges, it is a row of trees that has become famous because of Crown of Thorns. I haven't seen the show, but Amy has watched some of it. It is a stop off point on Game of Thrones tour which attract heaps of tourist. It was near by so we called in to have a look. It was a nice spot.

From there we headed to Derry where we went for a walk along the old walls that surrounded the city centre. Derry also know as Londonderry was the place recently where a journalist was shot during some riots there. We were able to sign the condolence book that had been set up in the Guild Hall.

We called in at Glencar Waterfall just before Sligo

We had dinner in Sligo and went for a wander around the city before heading out of town to the Castle Dragan Hotel where we were staying. It was in a lovely setting and lovely and quiet. I enjoyed a lovely walk around the golf course in the morning.
