Easter 2023

We had to postpone our annual Good Friday Picnic as it was forecasting rain and thunderstorms all day- and that did eventuate. So instead we relocated to Bindi's house the following morning. We did have egg and bacon rolls, and then headed up to the park over the road for the Easter Egg Hunt. We only had 3 little kids and Amy to hide eggs for. Charlie and Lincoln helped me hide the eggs. ( I have used Bindi's blog photos)

Easter Sunday Amy and I made a glazed ham- Bindi wanted one as she missed out on our Christmas Ham, and Bill, Amy and I joined Bindi and Charlie for an Easter Lunch. Bindi did roast lamb and roast veggies, so along with the ham we had lots of yummy food. Bindi made an apple cake for  dessert as well as a traditional Austrian Lamb Cake which Amy gleefully beheaded. It was a lovely afternoon.Bindi had the house all decorated for Easter.

April Happenings

Lucy has settled in really well, she is a lovely little dog and loves being around us and is a true lap dog! We did get her clipped as her long hair used to be so hard to look after.
Bill came home from his morning walk last week very pleased to discover that the single swan ( or so we thought) had produced 5 little cygnets. There had been a male swan there at one stage, but then we only ever saw the female swan, so they had been sitting on the nest and obviously we only ever saw the female swan in the morning. This father seems to be very present, the last male swan was a fly in fly out father. The cygnets must have only been a couple of days old.
