Melbourne

Last week Amy and I had to travel down to Melbourne for a couple of appointments, the drive down was lovely as the countryside is so lovely and green.

We stayed with my mum and as she had just had her birthday so we took her out to dinner at a tapas restaurant in Berwick, was nice to be able to walk down.

The next day after our appointment we headed back to Canberra and stayed overnight at a B&B in Millawa.

We had a lovely overnight stay the weather was perfect and we had dinner and breakfast delivered to our room. The food was excellent. We checked out the Millawa Mustard shop before hitting the road to Canberra.

Goodbye

After nearly 15 years of keeping chooks I decided that all the work involved in keeping chooks outweighed the lovely eggs we would get from them - I must be getting old. I have been approaching this point for a few years now. So on Friday morning I bundled up my chooks and took them around to my friend Colleen who was happy to take them. They seemed to settle in and looks like they will be very happy and comfortable there!

So when I swept the path on Saturday it has stayed nice and clean! Will be good to see if I can get some plants to grow!

Water

On the way back from Sydney we had to stop with all the other tourists and take a photo of Lake George with some water in it. It is about 3/4's full. We have lived in Canberra for 22 years, when we first moved here it had water for about three or four years, my kids don't remember it with water so Amy got a real surprise when she saw it.

Sydney

Last Weekend Amy and I travelled up to Sydney for a Bridal Shower. Hadn't been to one for decades, they were just like the older ones but on a grander scale, we had lots of fun and lovely to stay with Jos and Steve.

Jack and His Pram

While we were in Europe there were lots of people with dogs, dogs are allowed places they wouldn't be here. We saw some dogs being pushed around in prams and I thought of Jack, he has a sore leg so can't walk too far but loves his walk. Amy and I picked up this pram from the Green Shed for $15. He looked at as strangely the first time we put him in it but soon cottoned on to what was happening and seems pretty relaxed with the concept!

Last Day in London

Just need to do one more post to finish of the blog for our trip. We flew home Sunday night to Singapore, two hour stopover before catching the plane to Sydney then the bus to Canberra where Amy picked us up. Good to finally get home!

Our last day in London was lovely, we had an easy morning then wandered down Brick Lane, checked out the art works and the markets.

Then went to the Dark Sugars Cocoa Bar and had an awesome hot chocolate which was a work of art and so was the chocolate display!

Then we had a couple of hours at the British Museum before heading back to our apartment and preparing for the trip home, we have had a fantastic time.
