I have been neglecting my blog of late- having been called to be Relief Society President at church seems to have taken up lots of my time! A fair bit has happened in the last month. Lachlan has finally started back at work after having about 4 months off, he seems to have slotted right back into the tradie hours- up just after 5am and gone by 6:15am. He has been employed by NECA and working on the new National Archives building at Mitchell and is back on track to complete his electrical apprenticeship sometime in the next 12 months- that is a big relief. Now we just have to find Amy a job!
I have been to Sydney twice in the last two weeks. Amy and I went up to see Georgy Girl which was on at the State Theatre. We got a package at the Grace Hotel and had a lovely room there and breakfast the following morning. We loved the show- it was the story of Judith Durham and the Seekers- the music was fabulous and it is a beautiful theatre. We got to check out Vivid - the Sydney light festival which was great but so crowded around Circular Key. We had a lovely weekend.
Two weeks later Lachlan, Amy and I headed up to Sydney to visit Jos and Steve. We left Bill at home to look after the birds and Jack, we left Luna in charge of looking after Bill- Luna has become the "enforcer" she is better at keeping Ziggy in line than Bill is!
Lachlan needed to come with Amy and I as he had to do some secret men's business with Chris- Chris is getting married in November and Lachlan is one of the groomsman so the boys went suit shopping. Sunday afternoon we went up to Cumberland Forest for afternoon tea with Thela- who is 94, Chris's grandma, Bill's aunt and Amy and Lachlan's great aunt. It was sunny but cool and they had blankets to keep you warm- no heating in Sydney! Amy arranged the blanket on Christopher. The cousins had a lovely time catching up and we had a very relaxing weekend away and Bill behaved himself under Luna's supervision!
