Canal Tour and any haven

We did a great canal tour that took us around the canals of Copenhagen and wandered around the streets of Nyhavn, the houses and buildings were wonderful.

Round Tower

We climbed the Round Tower which gave us lovely views of Copenhagen and popped in to The church  next door.

Our First Day in Copenhagen

We had a great day exploring Copenhagen, it is a beautiful city, just like most European cities. Reminds me very much of Amsterdam but also parts of Vienna .

We saw bike parks, brought some yummy strawberries, raspberries and fresh peas, explored the city and the lovely architecture.

Copenhagen Here We Come

We left Canberra Friday morning with our bikes all loaded up on the trailer and headed to Sydney airport, a couple of short flights and 24 hours later we ended up in Copenhagen. It really is a long way!

Lachlan's Birthday Dinner

We had Lachlan's birthday dinner tonight. Simon, Bindi, Charlie and Mia came over and we had a lovely lemon birthday cake made by Bindi and some lovely lemon muffins made by Mia. Charlie said we had to have lolly bags ( my photo didn't turn out). After birthday cake we played Pictionary and I have sore stomach muscles from laughing so much!

Packing up the Bike!

Saturday's job was to pack up my Rykenby Bike into my bike bag. The weekend before I went and had a practice with supervision but today I did it on my own. I managed pretty well. I had to take of pedals, lower the seat, undo the handlebars, put some padding on the bike and get it into the bag. The trickiest part was getting the handlebars in. Hopefully the bike will travel okay. There is even room to take a little dog along! I don't think Jack would like being away from home for so long!

Luna

Luna has been with us for about 7 months now and has settled in well. Luna is a good name for her- sometimes she acts a little loony or behaves like a lunatic- but she is pretty good but rather boisterous. Sometimes you can see her just looking from trouble. Bill is probably the one that needs the most training. Yet again he made a loaf of bread, left it on the bench and left the room- an open invitation for Luna to have some afternoon tea!

It is less than a week till I leave. With all the training and jobs to do I have been slack in updating my blog, mind you apart from training, working and getting ready for the ride there had not been much to post about. On the Queens Birthday weekend we met at Parliament House on Monday morning for some more photos and then rode around to Weston Creek to get some shots with some kangaroos!

Another Big Ride

Haven't had much to put on my Blog lately.  With 3 weeks till I leave I am not doing much apart from riding, working and getting organized for the trip. Saturday we did a 160 km, it was a minus 2 start but it eventually warmed up and was a great day for riding.
