Dog Photos

Amy put one of Electro Group work shirts on Benji this week- he just looked so cute all dressed up!

It is my fault- Bill was having some of the loaf of bread he had made,  turned his back when I was telling him something and next minute Luna decided she was hungry so helped herself to the rest of the loaf and took off outside with it for a picnic!

Lachlan's Latest Delivery

On Friday, a large truck reversed up our drive way and out came the delivery man with this large pallet of boxes on his pallet jack- delivery for Lachlan Frost! (I couldn't find my camera at the time and only took the photo this morning so the extra stuff in front is Bill's telescope stuff.) All the boxes on the pallet is a metal work bench and storage system for the garage which Lachlan will be kept busy for the next few weeks setting up. Looks like he is planning to go nowhere in a hurry!

Flying Broomsticks and Butter Beer

Amy and I went across to Bindi and Simon's  place this afternoon for Mia's 11th birthday party with a Harry Potter Theme. Bill and Lachlan joined us latter. We had a lovely time and enjoyed butter beer served up by Simon and Charlie, we were given wands and learnt how to fly on our broomsticks- it was great fun!

Amy

My sister in law Bindi took this lovely photo of Amy this week. I really love this photo, not only does she look beautiful but she has a smile on her face. Life has been a real struggle the last few months while Amy has not had a work placement, but she finally got another placement two weeks ago and has really been enjoying her work-she has been coming home exhausted but happy. We went over to Bindi and Simon's yesterday to go to Mia's 11th birthday party- a Harry Potter party. We stayed on afterwards and Lachlan and Bill also came over so we had time to catch up with each other. Bindi braided Amy's hair and we just sat around and relaxed and enjoyed ourselves- it felt so good to see Amy with a smile on her face!

Back to Being A Three Dog Family- The Luna Landing

Meet Luna- a 12 month old Alaskan Malamute who was handed to the Pound for rehoming because she could not be trained.

Some friend of Amy who rescues malamutes in Melbourne sent Amy a message about this dog, that was so kind of her!

I relented and caved in to Amy's pleadings and Amy picked Luna up on Friday!
She is a gorgeous looking dog, very friendly and obviously was well cared for. Our first night was a little hectic, but the second night she was a lot calmer and settled, so we suspect first night anxiety. She is going to need a bit of training but we suspect it was a matter of time not taken to train her.

Benji has become quite possessive of Amy so she is getting lots of cuddles. Luna just loves Benji and they seem to be getting on fine. Jack is not very impressed at all, Luna comes up and really just wants to play but Jack does not see it that way so I think that will take a bit of time!

Benji's First Road Tip

Amy and I took Benji down to the South Coast- it was his first long trip in the car and his first time to the beach. He was very comfy in the back seat and would jump in and out no trouble. He loved sticking his head out the window with his nose to the wind!

We had a lunch stop at Braidwood- pies from the Braidwood Bakery and a walk in the park for Benji- he loved all those new smells!

We stayed at Broulee and half the beach was dog friendly so he was allowed off the lead. He loved running along the beach, wasn't too sure about the water and all those waves, but a couple of times he would venture in to where we were paddling but quickly run out when a wave came along.

Broulee was a lovely beach, about 20 minutes from Batemans Bay and we were staying in a pet friendly house. It was lovely walking along the beach.

 Broulee Beach

Benji relaxing- obviously hard work coming down the coast and all that walking!

Birthday Dinner

Last Saturday was my birthday, so the four of us went out for dinner at Maestral- A Croatian Sea Food Restaurant. We had lovely meals, I had grilled blue cod with prawns, Lachlan had steak, and Bill and Amy shared a seafood platter. It was nice to get out and have a meal together.
