Over the Christmas Break, Lachlan put up some sail cloths to make a shelter for his car. He has filled up the garage with his work bench and motorbikes so he had to do it! The dogs supervised as well as our friend Deb who built our house and did the extension. Lachlan worked away, using his tools that he has recently acquired- he is quite the workmen these days-very useful! Amy was away for a few days house sitting, so Lachlan had stolen her car parking spot so she got to park my car under the new sail cloths!

The Garden
The garden is looking pretty good at the moment, it had been a bit dry but we had a couple of days of good rain. It has filled up the water tank so that is great. I have my bath tub at the back door with the herbs close at hand. I also have some fuschias that are flowering and look really nice.
New Nursery Bag
My sister in law Bindi gave me this bag for Christmas- it is just perfect to take to church for the Nursery Class (18 months to 3year olds) that I teach. It has lots of pockets to put all the bits and pieces I need- it is just great!

Cotter Reserve
Then we went for an explore around the Cotter where they are building a new dam- weather was lovely and cool.
Holiday Bingo
We then had the traditional game of Holiday Bingo- which had us all in stitches- because we had to use little bits of paper towel as our tokens and they kept blowing away! The only way to keep them on the card was to lick and stick! I won a dual veggie peeler!
Christmas Lunch 2012
We had a lovely Christmas Picnic out at the Cotter Reserve- haloumi and grilled vegies on the BBQ
We set up our Christmas Table
Thought it looked pretty good!
Simon setting up the stove to get the Christmas Pudding boiling
Prizes for the Christmas Pudding- they all laughed at my buttons but that didn't stop them collecting the prizes.
Amy was in charge of lighting the Christmas Pudding but did not do a very good job!
Dividing up the Christmas Pudding- tasted pretty good!
Opening the Presents Christmas Eve
Opening presents Christmas Eve- this year Bill wrapped up Lachlan's present in his army socks and put them in his army boots and wrote on his boots! That means every time Bill and I walk the dogs in the morning, he will be walking around with Merry Christmas Lachlan on his boots!

Christmas Eve
For Christmas Eve we went out to dinner at the Hyatt and had a lovely time. Amy suggested we do it again next year, Bill said I he and I were still together we would, the kids just cracked up at that comment. I later told Bill if he decided to leave then I would stay in the house and Lachlan could stay with me, he would have to find somewhere else to live and he could have Amy to look after him- he then decided we would still be together next Christmas- such a romantic!

Finally Getting Christmassy
Well it has taken a while, finally managed to get a few Christmas things up around the house. No one else has been interested, so I just put up a little tree this year- easy to take down. I have made some Christmas goodies to deliver to a few people-this year I made almond bread and rocky road!

Christmas Wheel Race
It was the last crit race for the year at Stromlo Forest Park and as usual they have a wheel race where the top 5 riders from each grade, race it out on a 5 lap handicap race - always fun to watch! There was a sausage sizzle and Santa was there to make sure everyone was being good! A fun night.
Yummy Raspberries
I have been picking lots of raspberries. Every morning I end up with a bowl of them, just lovely with mango and yoghurt for breakfast!
Gingerbread Houses
Lachlan. Amy and I went over to Bindi and Simon's on Monday night and had a competion with Charlie and Mia to decorate our graham cracker houses- we had lots of fun. Charlie won the under 10 section, Mia the under 12 section and Lachlan the 21 and under section!
